Our pride in being Canadian and our use of American Spelling are not mutually exclusive.
The decision to use American Spelling is based on a number of practical factors:
1. Our intended audience is international, not just Canadian or British
2. SEO (the majority of people will be using American spelling in the searches)
3. American spelling is more economical (the fewer letters the better)
In addition to the factors listed above, we believe the content is the best place for us to demonstrate our Canadianness.
