A graphic arts teacher at Armijo High School in Fairfield, California, intended to show his students how to use Adobe Photoshop, but mistakenly opened up gay porn and projected it onto the screen for a quick moment. Realizing the gaffe, the prof scrambled to close it.

Sadly, the whole class saw it, and one student, the son of Sheila Harmon, sent the following text to her: “Oh yeah. My teacher accidentally brought up his gay porn.”

A couple of students ran to the principal, horrified, and mad. Chris Matthews was one of them.

“He was just clicking on random files, all of a sudden this big image of literally gay porn shows up,” said freshman Chris Matthews. “And he’s going crazy, looking. Just by that reaction that shows he didn’t expect it.”

“It was disturbing, shocking. The class was in a shambles afterwards. He couldn’t get anyone into order. He couldn’t get anyone to work,” said Matthews.

Yet, there were different reactions from other students, and different stories of what actually happened.

On Tuesday afternoon, three other students who say they are in the class all confirmed to News10 that the pornographic picture was displayed on the projected screen from the teacher’s computer and that it seemed to be accidental. Some say they were offended, while others said the class just laughed when the picture popped up. Some say the teacher denied the picture was his, while others claim the teacher showed little reaction and simply continued with the class.

District officials are conducting an investigation to see whether the sneak peak and the image itself – stored on a school computer – will require disciplinary action. Armijo Principal Steven Peters has launched an inquiry.

According to Sgt. Joel Orr of the Fairfield police, it’s not likely that there would be a criminal violation if there was no intent to show a pornographic image to minors.
