Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight and his boyfriend Mark Cornelson celebrated queer love and the gay rights movement at the Love and Pride Ceremony in West Hollywood. The planned mass commitment ceremonies were put on by Judy Shepard and the Matthew Shepard Foundation and included dozens of couples committed to furthering gay rights in the U.S. The event was largely symbolic, yet comes on the heels of the California Supreme Court’s decision to permit same sex marriages in the state. June 17th is the official first day that same sex couples will be able to get married in California.
Couples at the event were wearing the Matthew Shepard Erase Hate pendant designed by Udi Behr for Judy in memory of her son, who was the victim of a brutal anti-gay hate crime in rural Wyoming 10 years ago.
Although rumors were running rampant that the two would tie the knot at the party, as of now, they remain just dating. But, T.R. told OK! just what he loves about Mark, 19, “Everything!”
The actor, 35, revealed that although he believes in marriage he’s just not ready to take the leap. “We’ve only been together for six months,” he told OK!. “I strongly believe in marriage though. Mark got a little bit more specific about what he loves about his famous beau. “His humor. He’s romantic too,” he told OK!.
He continued, “We just went to see Sex and the City and we both thought it was great. I’m a huge fan of the show. He never really watched the show but he really liked the movie. It was a great experience for us.”

“Once you are given something that you were never allowed before, you realize how much of a second class person you were before,” he told Us. “That is horrible and fantastic at the same time. It makes me want to sob and scream with joy all at the same time.”
“The floodgates have been opened they will never be closed,” Cornelsen added.
Knight said his “Grey’s Anatomy” cast mates really like his boyfriend Mark. “Someone in particular, I won’t mention names told me, ‘You know I like him more than I like you, right?’” the actor, 35, joked. “They said it about three or four times so it’s kind of not as funny as it was the first time anymore.”
“They love him,” Knight said. “They’re like, ‘When is he coming?’ They want him there.”
“They’re all wonderful and so sweet,” Cornelson said. “It’s amazing.”
